June 6: Books or Covers that Feel/Look Like Summer
Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.
That Artsy Reader Girl
And I’m back ….
When I think of summer I think of bright, breezy, beautiful colors – especially green!
1.
The Hobbit – it is always summertime in the Shire. β€οΈ
2.
One Hundred Years of Solitude – it takes place in Columbia, which is close to the equator, so maybe it seems like summer year-round? π
3.
The Jetsetters – so, no green, but it is obviously at the beach and if you are catching some rays at the beach, it must be summer. ποΈ
4.
A Cat was Involved – going for the green here. π»
5.
Dietland – when do people go diet crazy? Summer. (And these are summery colors, too) π
6.
Amarantox – just look at the right-side of the book cover. π
7.
The Color Purple – nothing says summer like a giant sunflower! not sure why it isn’t purple, though. π€
8.
Little House on the Prairie – I recognize that cloudless blue sky and dry buffalo grass. π
9.
Charlotte’s Web – for a spider to be comfortable and chatty it must be warm. πΈοΈ
10.
Jewel – various shades of green against a white backdrop – LOVE IT!

Yes, green is a very summery colour!
Here is my Top Ten Tuesday post.

Dietland’s cover does say summer. The inside is twisted, though!
